Wonderbrew app privacy

This notice covers the Wonderbrew game. The website has a separate privacy notice.

Effective 25 October 2026

Who is responsible

Pietro Canovari publishes Wonderbrew and is responsible for its data practices. For support, privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. You can also visit Wonderbrew support.

Game progress and iCloud

Wonderbrew does not require a publisher game account. It stores puzzle progress, move history, balances, collectibles and preferences on your device so you can play and continue later. When iCloud is available through your Apple Account, the app uses private iCloud storage to synchronize progress between devices. Random save identifiers distinguish device copies. Audio, language and privacy preferences stay on the device; local boot-clock samples used by the game are excluded from outgoing progress. Device motion is used locally for background tilt and is not included in gameplay analytics.

Resetting progress preserves a recovery snapshot and pauses synchronization. It does not erase every cloud copy. Removing the app can remove local data without deleting iCloud records, Apple backups or purchase records. Use your device and iCloud controls to manage those copies. Contact us if you need help understanding a reset or deletion request.

Purchases

Apple processes payments. Wonderbrew receives verified App Store transaction and entitlement information to grant, restore or revoke purchased benefits. The app does not receive your payment-card details.

No forced ads is a one-time purchase that removes forced interstitial ads; optional rewarded bonuses still require their video. The 24-hour pass provides unlimited lives for 24 hours without renewing. The weekly unlimited-lives subscription renews automatically until cancelled in your App Store subscription settings. Restoring purchases uses the Apple Account that made them. Apple maintains purchase and account information under its privacy policy.

Advertising and your choices

Google Mobile Ads provides optional rewarded videos and occasional interstitial ads. Its services may process IP addresses and general location derived from them, device identifiers, ads shown, video views and other interactions, crash logs, and performance or diagnostic information. This information can be used to deliver and measure ads, maintain the service and prevent fraud. See Google's Mobile Ads data disclosure and information about partner apps.

Wonderbrew requests non-personalized publisher treatment, disables Google's publisher first-party ID and limits ad content to General. These settings do not mean that advertising processes no personal information. Google's User Messaging Platform checks applicable privacy requirements before the app requests ads. Where required, it presents your choices, and an advertising privacy control appears in Settings so you can revisit them. You can keep playing when ads are unavailable. Bonus videos are voluntary, and the reward is shown before you choose to watch.

Optional gameplay analytics

Gameplay analytics and crash diagnostics have separate Settings switches. Both are off by default. Enabling one does not enable the other, and neither is required to play.

If you enable gameplay analytics, Wonderbrew sends limited events to PostHog Cloud EU to understand game use and improve the game. Events can describe sessions, level starts and completion, moves, hints, selected themes, and bounded purchase or advertising outcomes. A random installation identifier relates events from the same installation. The app's analytics payload does not intentionally include your name, contact details, entered text, puzzle contents, advertising identifier or precise location.

The app disables person-profile processing and location enrichment in its event requests. It does not use analytics autocapture or session replay. Network infrastructure can still process connection information such as your IP address. Read PostHog's privacy information.

Turning analytics off clears its local event queue and installation identifier and cancels pending delivery where possible. It cannot recall information already sent. The local queue holds at most 100 events and excludes events at least seven days old when it is processed.

Optional crash diagnostics

If you enable crash diagnostics, Wonderbrew uses Sentry's EU service to help find and fix technical problems. Reports can contain technical error or crash stacks and app, device and operating-system context. Handled errors use fixed context messages instead of copying arbitrary error descriptions.

The app disables default personal-data capture, screenshots, session replay, profiling, performance tracing, automatic session tracking and breadcrumbs, network capture, logs and metrics. It removes user and request fields from outgoing diagnostic events. These restrictions do not exclude technical connection information from every stage of a provider's infrastructure. Read Sentry's privacy policy.

Turning diagnostics off closes its SDK and removes its dedicated local cache. This cannot recall reports already delivered.

Support and purposes

If you contact us, we process your email address, your message and any details you choose to send so we can respond, investigate a problem or handle a privacy request. Avoid sending passwords or payment-card details. Email providers also process messages to deliver them.

Where European data protection law applies, we rely on performing our contract with you for requested game functions and purchased benefits; your consent for optional analytics and diagnostics and advertising access or storage where required; our legitimate interests in answering support requests, protecting the service and resolving problems, subject to your rights; and legal obligations where applicable. Google's and Apple's notices explain the grounds for their own processing. You can withdraw optional sharing consent in Settings at any time.

How long information is kept

We keep information only while needed for the purposes described here, to resolve support or reliability issues, or to meet legal obligations. We review continued need and use available deletion controls when identifiable records are no longer needed. Relevant factors include whether you still use a feature, whether a problem or request is unresolved, and legal or security requirements.

Device progress is subject to your device and iCloud controls. Local analytics queue limits are described above. Apple maintains its purchase records under its own practices. Providers may retain backups and security or operational records under separate processes. A provider's reporting or query window is not a promise that all copies are automatically deleted at that time. We will explain relevant limits when handling a request.

Providers and international processing

Apple provides App Store purchases and private iCloud synchronization; Google provides advertising and its privacy-choice system; PostHog receives opted-in analytics; and Sentry receives opted-in diagnostics. They process information for their respective functions. The providers may use subprocessors and process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. EU analytics and diagnostics destinations do not mean all provider support, operations or processing remain in the EU. Contact us for information about the transfer safeguards applicable to your information.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Email [email protected] with enough information to help locate the relevant records. Because we do not require a publisher account and optional analytics uses a random installation identifier, we may need additional information to locate records, and some records may not be identifiable as yours.

We verify requests proportionately, use available provider controls, explain any limits and respond within applicable legal deadlines. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. You may complain to your local data protection authority; in Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. See the European Commission's information about your rights.

Audience and changes

Wonderbrew is a general-audience puzzle primarily intended for teens and adults. If you have a concern about a child's information, contact us so we can investigate and handle the request.

We update this notice when our practices change and show the effective date here. Material changes requiring a new choice will be presented through the app where applicable.
